Embarking

So yesterday we arrived at the airport in Kansas City, MO, bright-eyed and ready at 6 am. First stop was supposed to be Dallas, but after being unable to land due to fog and running low on fuel they sent us to San Antonio. Two hours later we were back in the air and en route to Dallas. We landed with sunny skies, no hint of fog, and still had an hour to make our next flight. After boarding to go to Lima, they discovered an oil leak, and another two hours later we were in the air after they found and fixed it. Finally got to Lima at 12 am, and had to wait around till 8 until we could take off for Sanitago, but Lima has great benches for snoozing. We finally got to Santiago at 3 this afternoon, exausted and gross after about 25 hours of travel time (not counting time changes).

  2. Due to constant encouragement from Matt (but also as well my own desire) I am inquiring as to who took you both to the airport and took that nice photograph in the early AM? :-) Only great friends, I'm sure. Glad you boys did not get into any trouble in Lima and were able to utilize the benches for snoozing purposes. Sorry for the change in flight schedule but that makes it fun & adventurous and adds to the memories. Okay more later...Toodles!

  3. You mean a shout out to the man who came down with the flu and may or may not have contaminated us before we left?!?!? Minus that one fact him and his wife were very sweet to tote us around so early before work :) Thanks Dobbins family :)
